Crafted from a retired oak whisky barrel head. One side sanded to retain the character and charring from inside the whisky barrel. The other side sanded to show the beauty of oak. The board is then finished using pure food grade mineral oil and finally a blend of mineral oil and natural beeswax.
Beeswax has long been used to provide an antiseptic and antifungal food safe finish. That does not go off like some oils.
