Turn & Burn Woodcrafts
Beautiful and unique hand made wooden items.

About, why I started

After 17 years in a job with very little satisfaction I longed to do something more fulfilling and rewarding. I had served my time as a joiner after leaving school and continued woodworking and turning as a hobby when I left the trade. It seemed a logical step to try and turn a pastime I love into a new career.

Welcome to my site.

Check out the site and feel free to place an order or just browse some of the work.

If there's any modifications or you want a completely bespoke item get in touch and we can talk through your options.

If you are just interested in pursuing turning or woodworking as a hobby don't hesitate to get in touch for a chat or advice. You're never too old or young and it need not cost a fortune to start.

Hand made bespoke items.

I create custom-made products to serve every customer’s need. Let’s discuss what you envision for this product and what your requirements are. Whether it’s a simple, natural live edge serving board  or a one of a kind epoxy resin river table you can request a specific order or just an idea. I'll work with you in order to achieve your vision.
Much of the timber I use is repurposed or recycled. Some even comes from my firewood log pile. Not just better for the environment but you never know when a truly beautiful piece of timber is hiding inside a very modest log.

Personalised gifts.

Many of my products can be personalised with text or logos to include a name or even your own business branding.

Feel free to contact me with any feedback on the work or the site

Please be aware timber is a natural material and will move when exposed to extreme temperatures and humidity. Grain pattern, colour and shade may vary even within a species. I specifically target timber with grain, knots and, what some people refer to as defects, which show off the natural beauty of the wood. Any kitchenalia will be finished with a food safe 4:1 mixture containing only mineral oil and natural beeswax.
